Benefits in Joining The Corsicana Apartment Association We have monthly dinner meetings at Kinsloe House in Corsicana except July & December where you can meet and great other rental property owners or property managers with your question on how to evict, act. At the monthly dinner meetings we try to have speakers that will better educate you in the operation or business aspects of running a rental property business. We try each year to have all day seminars that will educate with answers to your legal question that may occur during the operation of your business. We provide a brochure with all the members names & phone numbers to local chamber of commerce where they send out to prospective new comers to Corsicana and the local area. This also includes the visitors center at the south end of  Beaton St. We have a web site www.CorsicanaApartments.org that is linked with Corsicana Chamber of Commerce & The City of Corsicana. There any new comer to Corsicana can find rental housing. The CAA web site has links to the TAA "Lease You Should Know"  video in English & Spanish explaining the Apartment & Housing lease to your prospective tenant. As members of CAA you are also members of The Texas Apartment Association & The National Apartment Association.  We these additional memberships you are entitled to use the best rental lease forms in the United States. The rental lease forms are recognized & approved by our local Justice of Peace if you have to appear before them. I have listed the most popular form that are used at the bottom of the page. With your membership you have the availability to ask legal question that will be answered by TAA legal council. With your membership you can purchase a hard copy or view online the "The Red Book". This is a book with all the legal laws in Texas that affects the rental housing industry and answers to all your legal question. For example, how to evict that tenant, collecting & returning security deposits, pet deposits, application fees.  It also list, Fair Housing Laws, Landlord/Tenant Laws, Texas Criminal Laws, Texas Property Codes, Eviction & Remedies and more.  With your membership you have access to TAA web site www.taa.org. There you can get into the Red Book. The Texas Apartment Association representatives its members during the Texas Legislature session and helps prevent any legislature that will harm our industry. This also pertains to the National  Apartment Association in Washington D.C. when it comes to legislature that will affect us nationally. Every year Texas Apartment Association has a Education & Trade Show where by you can attend a  two days of seminars that will help you in the operation of your rental property.  They also have over 300 Product & Service booths that inform you of any product that you might need in the operation of your rental housing business.
